The concept of Divine Kingship suggests Pharaoh/king as an incorporeal and profane leader. Pharaoh had the astounding power which cannot be questioned. The power of the Pharaoh was vested by the priests and they were in charge of keeping the balance of ma’at. Ma’at means “rule of order over the chaos”. In Egyptian tradition, Kings were responsible to present the people of Egypt before the Gods and that was recognized as the solid reason for the proper burial because it was said that it connected with the Gods in afterlife. The building of the Pyramids was based on the mummification of the body as they had the huge belief in afterlife.
